If you have a glimpse of humanity’s past, present and most probably future, what will you notice is how fragile _as biological creatures_ we are. Our history is full of pandemics and vicious wars that had taken millions and millions of people’s lives over the course of the past thousands of years. However, in the last few years, humanity’s life expectancy is increasing as major wars and serious medical conditions are ceasing away. Still our new and comfortable lifestyles are considered the brand new fatal threats to us. In this article we are trying to find solutions to this problem.

You are what you eat

Individuals and governments have to work side by side in order to reach our goal of increasing hunan’s life expectancy and overall wellbeing.

At the individual level, they have to be conscious of their diets as it’s always said: “you are what you eat". So, their meals should be consisted of variable food elements such as fruits, vegetables, carbohydrates, fat and proteins. Moreover, they may have to add some dietary supplements to their diet so as to provide them with essential vitamins and minerals.

As a citizen of a country that respects its people’s needs and consider their prosperity and health it’s main goal, I expect that the government of my country is going to spare no effort to let me live happier and healthier.

Provided that you are now keeping a good watch over your diet, you have also to be aware of your physical condition and physical activity as the combination of both healthy food and sport can keep you fit, save your life and guarantee you more years to live.

As a citizen of a country that respects its people’s needs and consider their prosperity and health it’s main goal, I expect that the government of my country is going to spare no effort to let me live happier and healthier.

Governments have an important role in increasing the life expectancy of of their citizens and their overall wellbeing. They should deploy huge campaigns whose purpose is to increase the public’s awareness of the dangers of of their bad eating habits. Also, they have to support sportsmen and women in order to encourage everyone to follow their successful pass.

More technically, they have to improve the quality of water and sewage systems in addition to supplying the medical institutions with the up-to-date medications and all the new advancements in the medical field.

To conclude, humans' life expectancy has varied throughout history. We have survived wars, pandemics and deadly diseases, and we will face and survive more. Still our species is facing the downsides of prosperity and easy life. Individuals ought to change their lazy and unhealthy lifestyles to more active and healthy ones. Governments too carry upon their shoulders the burden of teaching people and making their lives more productive and less dangerous.
